I was way too kind with the technical team from telecom service provider when they visited my home for an upgrade of WiFi services. The service provider forgot to inform the crew about what WiFi package I had applied for, the time they should visit my home, about the requirement of a phone handset for connection etc. I still paid them the charges without a question about their unprofessional service. And lastly, the crew left without even telling me what my fixed line number was. I was way too kind with the service provider. Looking forward to hiring them again.

Man falls dead. Just third day in office.

Look at the image. Don’t get shocked. The man is alive and kicking.

All he did was take a nap in the office on the third day of joining duty as an intern. That gave an opportunity for his colleagues to gang up on him, take a selfie and post the picture on social media as a huge prank. And the photo is now viral. Sad!

The poor man’s name was Eduard. He had just joined a software company called GSoft based in Canada.

It was in the year 2016 and the man says the show isn’t over yet.

The Deceased Man’s Prank Photo keeps doing rounds on social media. But Eduard is just loving it.

Memes on SM walls win polls in India.

It’s election time, as you all know.

When you walk in the street and happen to look at a poster (no walls are wasted, all pasted!) on the wall which has an image of the actor, director and producer Sandhana Bharathi, but the message is about Indian HM Amit Shah, you have just seen a good meme. That makes everyone laugh.

A meme is a humorous and satirical way of conveying a message or an idea into an easily translatable format.

Social media nowadays are awash with memes. Images, videos and GIFs have all got memes as content.

Do you know how old a meme is?

The meme is as old as 1953, when the New York Times used the word in a Crossword Puzzle. The clue was; “Same:French.” (The term has a French origin).

It appeared again on the crossword in 2021, with the clue now hinting; “something that gets passed around a lot”.

People share memes on social media and good memes can go viral in a second.

The British evolutionary biologist and atheist Richard Dawkins was the first to use the term in his 1976 book, “The Selfish Gene.”

He said in his book that he needed a name for the new replicator, a noun that conveys the idea of a unit of cultural transmission, or a unit of imitation.

He was actually talking about genes replicating through generations.

He wanted a name that sounded like “gene.”  And that was how the word ‘meme’ was born.

People live in a fast-paced social media world. They have little time for reading and images in the form of memes help positively influence people’s minds.

Memes form part of today’s marketing content too. Products sell faster through memes.

The popular meme creator who has a three million following on Instagram, Saint Hoax says memes are basically editorial cartoons for the internet age.

“Messages in a meme format catch your eye, and most of them can be read and understood within seconds,” says Samir Mezrahi, the deputy director of social media at BuzzFeed.

But there’s a flip side to a meme.

Some of them might just negatively impact your business and make your potential customers think twice before buying your services.

So be cautious when creating a meme and try rolling it out for circulation on social media.

What an investment of $100 can bring in this AI-ridden world? An experiment.

Dear ChatGPT,

You have $100, and the goal is to turn that into as much money as possible in the shortest time possible, without doing anything illegal. I will do anything you say.

16 March 2023.

That was the question Jackson Fall put to ChatGPT and posted it on X (formerly Twitter).

Can AI help invest money in a business and help build an online empire is the move behind the exercise.

This tweet set the internet on fire and there were 23 million views and over two thousand replies.

The AI social media enthusiasts have sat through hours following updates in a thread.

ChatGPT, to start with, asked Fall to create a website. He created a blog site by the name GreenGadgetGuru.com.

The plan was to set up an affiliate marketing and try positioning eco-friendly content. The AI suggested positioning sustainable living products on the site.

Many on SM were thrilled by this experiment, and Fall said this exercise quickly brought over 7,700 dollars worth of donations.

All for a cause. Can AI run a business that generates profit?

A month was gone. The update showed it did generate revenue. $130 was there for all to see.

But Fall said that it looked fishy as there was no advertising done nor were there proofs of sale. How did it show the figure?

Eight months have gone. No reply from Fall. No updates.

Some questioned if that was the case of a stunt.

Some asked; what if they gave ChatGPT $100K?

Some found fault with the design of the blog site, complaining it wasn’t mobile-friendly.

The wait for those who invested in this experiment isn’t over yet.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Dallas, USA. Year 2021.

Russell was so upset that he couldn’t get the right girl to talk to or one to date with. He thought he was a total failure.

He’s 22, a software professional and earning handsome money at an IT multinational.

He looked handsome. But he was worried as to why he was not connecting with girls.

That’s when he heard about OpenAI.

This is one of the best Valentine’s stories yet. Read on.

Before the AI technology explosion, Russell used to sit and spend hours on Tinder swiping right after right, but to no avail.

Some he found and proceeded to date with, but he thought they were either drinking too much or throwing emotional tantrums. He wasn’t happy.

He thought one day he would ask for the help of AI technology.

He heard about OpenAI’s GPT-2, and he could employ the chatbot to talk to girls on his behalf.

Or else how would he find the perfect woman?

He soon was able to enjoy the new invention, and he swiped right 350 times, matched with 150 and struck dialogue with as many.

He finally met with success. He could in fact meet a dozen of them. In real, wow!

But there was still a flaw in the new innovation.

The GPT-2 scheduled a date on his behalf and swore to the girls he would bring chocolates and flowers for them.

Oblivious to the private conversation, he went and met the girl empty-handed. So embarrassing.

So what’s next?

The best OpenAI, GPT-4, was released, and he was pleased.

He quickly struck a chord with the new arrival and the AI said the best about him. The AI suggested he talk to girls about his childhood, parents, goals in life etc. That sounded so meaningful.

This time, he matched with about 4500 girls thanks to a little help coming from Tinder Gold. All in a month’s time. Great!

UNBELIEVABLE! There’s more. Read on.

He kept striking gold. He once met 4 girls at a time.

After about 5000 women expressing interest in him, he found one that he thought was a ‘match made in heaven’.

Her name is Tanya. Many congratulations! Many more to AI.

He still wasn’t content yet. To spice up things, he turned one last time to AI.

He asked for help from ChatGPT V3 and the AI suggested he marry her. That just floored him. How?

The AI was right, and the couple soon moved in together in 2023.

One day, he showed Tanya what ChatGPT V3 did to them. He showed the chat to her.

As the AI said, he proposed to her and they are now husband and wife. Two long years to find the right match. Brilliant.

Hang on! This isn’t over yet. Read on.

Kovai, India Year 2024.

Café Coffee Day at Phoenix Mall, Kovai was full of people cramming for space on Valentine’s Day.

Vineeth turned and showed the story he had just read on FB to his newly-wed wife Archana.

They were sitting, chatting and sharing a laugh the whole day. Full of buzz.

She said to him: We didn’t go through the hassle of using AI technology, dear. To know each other, did we?

He nodded and looked on. Expecting what she was going to say next.

She continued: We met for a short while. A month or two. We hit it off.

“You came, you saw, and you conquered my parents”.

He smiled and spoke softly and slowly, “No, our parents”.

Both had a hearty laugh. He hugged her and looked up at the sky.

They thanked their ancestors.

Is Twitter real? How would Elon Musk get rid of spam on Twitter by charging a fee? You don’t need a blue-check verification to say you’re ‘blue-checked” on Twitter. How bizarre!
